BUSINESS DIRECTORY STANDARDS
Verification Policy
How business listing review and verification labels should be understood.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains the meaning and limitations of business listing review and verification on Bharat Vyapaar. It applies to businesses listed in the public directory and people who submit or rely on those listings.
1. Listing submission and review
Businesses may submit information for consideration through the website's available registration or contact channels. Submission alone does not mean a listing has been approved, published or verified. Bharat Vyapaar may review information for completeness, relevance, consistency and apparent misuse before publishing or retaining a listing.
2. Meaning of “Verified”
If a listing displays a “Verified” label, it means Bharat Vyapaar has marked that listing as verified following an internal review process. The exact scope of checks may vary and should not be assumed to cover every statement or document supplied by the business. A label does not mean that Bharat Vyapaar guarantees the business or endorses its products or services.
3. Information and evidence
Where requested through an official channel, a review may consider business identity details, contact information and supporting information relevant to the listing. Do not send identity documents, financial details or other sensitive records unless specifically requested through a suitable and secure process. This website does not currently promise an automated document-verification service.
4. Accuracy and changes
Businesses are responsible for keeping submitted details accurate and informing Bharat Vyapaar about material changes. A previous review may not reflect current ownership, operations, financial status, licences or service quality. We may ask for updated information or remove a label when appropriate.
5. Reporting a concern
If you believe a listing is inaccurate, misleading, impersonating another business or otherwise inappropriate, please use the reporting feature where available or contact us through the Contact page. Include the listing name, relevant details and the reason for your concern. Please provide only information necessary to explain the report.
6. Review outcomes
We may review reports and take action appropriate to the circumstances, which can include requesting clarification, updating a listing, restricting visibility or removing a listing or verification label. We may not be able to disclose confidential details or the outcome of every review.
7. User due diligence
Before making payments, entering contracts or sharing confidential information, users should independently verify a business's identity, credentials, references, permissions and commercial terms. Use appropriate professional advice for significant transactions.
8. Policy updates
We may update this policy as review procedures evolve. The current version will be published on this page.
